Dash News…Alan Rickman Dies At 69

Dash Jordan here with some breaking news. I guess Sir Christopher Lee, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Dusty Rhodes, B.B. King, Lemmy, Natalie Cole & David Bowie just isn’t enough for whoever’s running the universe as we lost yet another legend. Iconic English actor Alan Rickman, tragically passed away at 69 years old; due to complications with cancer.

For some of you who are unfamiliar with the man’s work, Alan Rickman a highly talented and decorated actor who initially started out acting on stage and television. That was until 1988 when he was chosen to play the role of Hans Gruber; the main antagonist of the action-movie classic ‘Die Hard’.

Ever since ‘Die Hard’, Rickman’s career skyrocketed as he began starring in many films, playing very memorable and iconic roles. Including, but not limited to, The Sheriff Of Nottingham in ‘Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves’, Colonel Brandon in ‘Sense & Sensibility’, The Metatron in ‘Dogma’, Judge Turpin in ‘Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street’, Hilly Krystal in ‘CBGB’ and of course, Severus Snape from the Harry Potter film series.

Today is truly a sad day, but not one we should dwell on for long. While we may have lost an amazing actor, we should remember him for his life and not his death. I think I speak for everyone when I say thank you, Alan Rickman. Thank you for giving us such great performances in some truly great films. I hope you’re finally at rest.

R.I.P. Alan Rickman(1946-2016)

Now, cross your fingers. I hope that the next article I do will be of something a little more positive. Until then, Gotta Dash!
